St. Mary Event Committee Ministry

 

This ministry was established a few years ago by several devoted parishioners from St. Mary Church.  The goal of this ministry was to create and promote a fellowship bond with members of the parish family in a recreational setting.

 

It purpose was to allow parishioners and friends to socialize, enjoy a musical and dining experience along with raising funds for the church building fund.

 

The ministry committee is made up of parishioners from the church and includes the Women's Club and the Knights of Columbus.  The committees programs have generally centered around holy days and holidays.  Four events are planned during the year.  These events include different forms of musical talents, sing-a longs, dining and dancing.

 

This committee plans all aspects of the event to include meals, entertainment, decorations, tickets sales and other needed functions.  The committee strives to recruit volunteers of all ages and backgrounds for the purpose of providing a social event that benefits and strengthens the growth and bond of our parishioners to the parish.
