ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH OUTREACH MINISTRY

PURPOSE

St. Mary's Outreach Program is committed to helping needy individuals or families in our community. By following Christ's example of love of neighbor, the ministry provides both tangible and spiritual support through prayer and person to person contact. Working in partnership with neighboring churches and community organizations, the ministry is able to temporarily alleviate the daily challenges faced by the unfortunate among us.

RESOURCES

Revenue to support the efforts of this ministry are generated from sales at St. Mary Thrift Shop, other parish ministries and organizations along with the very generous and selfless gifts of parishioners. While no money is given directly to an individual or family, rent or utility bills are paid to the company owed. Since financial resources are limited, information and guidance regarding St. Mary's food pantry and thrift shop, as well as additional resources in the community is given.

MINISTRY EFFORTS

Since its inception in October of 2007, the overwhelming number of individuals or families who have been assisted by the Outreach Program speaks to the continuing need for an expansion of the ministry. This is a volunteer driven program and there are always opportunities to serve.
